Could We Live Up To 140 Years Of Age?

Before we answer the question, let’s investigate two other questions which will lead us to the answer. First, why do we die? Second, how do we die?
Scientifically, we die naturally because our cells die. After they have done their job, billions of cells in your body die every single day to make a way and room for new cells to develop and grow and start the job again. Old cells age us, inside a cell there is some thing called telomeres at the end of each chromosome contain genetic information that gets clipped away with each cell division. Now, telomeres are long enough that they can handle a snip here and a trim there. But after they hit a certain length, the information is lost. When programmed cell-death (PCD) or what it’s called apoptosis goes haywire, it can start forming and leading to diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
But the good news is that scientist were able to extend the lives of flies, worms and mice through genetics tinkering or technology that mimics the effects of caloric restriction (CR) in which can improve the person’s health and slow the aging process by limiting dietary energy intake. Finally, scientists suggest human could one day live up to 140 years of age.
