Energy Drinks Are Linked To Risky Behavior Among Teenagers And Adults

Red Bull, Monster, Full Throttle and Amp are the major energy drink available in the U.S market now. About one third of 12-24 years old adults have said that they use energy drink almost every day. Around the country energy drinks linked to many negative effects on the human body such as nausea, abnormal heart rhythms, and emergency room visits.

In March of 2008, The ournal of American College Health published a report on the link between energy drinks, athletics and risky behavior. The authur of the study  Kathleen Miller, an addiction researcher at the University of Buffalo said “high consumption of energy drinks is associated with “toxic jock” behavior, a constellation of risky and aggressive behaviors including unprotected sex, and violence.” The study has also suggested and adviced people who consume eneryg drink to keep away from them since they have so many bad effects on their health.

  1. I do not think companies who make products like this, toxic and/or harmful, should be allowed to manufacture their product. With their big advertising campaigns… people and our children are just looking for illness and disease. It doesn’t seem fair to do that to unsuspecting people.
