Scientists are predicting a year of disaster in a huge scale, the reason global warming. Predicted effects range from floods to land slides, and the death rate from starvation world wide is set rise to twenty thousand a week.

This film tells the story of a terrible year in the future where the world biggest killer is our climate. Global warming may take millions of lives, scientist are expecting storms more savage more than any thing yet we have seen fire and flood, destruction on a massive scale. In our future global warming may cause up to 30 million deaths in a single year, and that years is 2050. We live on an astonishing world, a vast world, mountains, oceans; it is a world of wonders. Home of over 6 billion people, our home and we are destroying it. Scientists first start worrying in the 1980s three hot summers year after year, the suspect it’s the green house effect, but was it? Research began world wide and by mid nineties the scientist were completely sure even world leaders were convinced. “Global climate change effecting how we and all others in the planet will live … to avoid leaving our children and the world children with a catastrophe” Bill Clinton.

By 1996 we knew that we are changing the world’s climate, we are destroying our own climate, carbon dioxide from our cars and factories from burning and deforestation is increasing the suns and climate heat, as we pollute our planet its becoming hotter, its already the earth is half a degree warmer than it was a hundred years ago. What it will be like in 50 years time? Already our climate is changing, the reason floods world wide have been wide spread and more sever than before, also it happens more frequently. This is what a half degree rise in temperature can do; fifty years from now, our planet will be 5 degree warmer. Global warming will transform our world for ever.
