I think exercising should be number one on your daily things to do list, because the benefits are infinite, do you agree? You know almost everyday when I browse the health section on a site or newspaper, I see an article talking about exercise and its benefits.
Today the Medical news Today published an interesting article about breast cancer. The article says that women over 30+ can cut the risk of developing breast cancer only with regular exercise.
The study leader Dr. Lisa Sprod said “Regular exercise appears to have protective effects for this age group of women”.
It doesn’t matter what kind of exercise, just do the things you like the most. Being physically active according to the study can act like a prescription for prevention when it comes to breast cancer.
The comprehensive study included more than 4,296 women, and the medical team questioned their practices during four key stages of life: 10 to 15 years old; 15 to 30 years old; 30 to 50 years old; and 50 years old and above.
A Cure for Baldness is Coming Soon – Claim Scientists

It’s really frustrating to see how much hair we lose every single day, it becomes thinner and thinner everyday leading to more serious problems like baldness. Many people tried several products in the market that treats baldness, but there is no cure or single solution for it unit now. However, scientists successfully were able to identify the gene that is connected to hair loss, which might be a the key solution for baldness.
The gene is called Sox21, the gene was known in the past to be linked to the formation of nerve cells, but the new study is the first to indicate its function in ensuring hair retention.
Scientists used mice as model to test the gene functionality, so they blocked the activity of the gene in mice and found out that the mice started losing hair on their head after only 15 days after birth and became completely naked a week later.
“It is entirely possible that the gene is also a cause of thinning hair among humans”, said Professor Yumiko Saga at the National Institute of Genetics in Tokyo.
This finding according to the researchers is going to help other scientist to find a cure for baldness by providing a clear understanding of the gene function and behavior. Once cure is developed, is going to help millions of men around the world who are affected by hair loss. Most men by the age of 60 are affected by it.

Scientists in England claim a successful stem cell procedure restores eye sight for blinds.
The research leader Dr Nick Di Girolamofrom the University of New South Wales in Australia, said that the new breakthrough procedure is simple, cheap and requires only minimal hospital stay.
This new unique technique would give hope to millions of people around the globe with eye conditions or blindness to see again, even in the Third World.
The procedure starts by removing tissue with regenerative stem cells from the patient’s own eyes and then multiplying them in the laboratory on the surface of a contact lens. Then, this culture is placed back onto the damaged cornea for around 10 days, and then the cells decolonize and “patch” the damaged eye surface. According to patient’s who had the procedure, they saw dramatic improvement in their vision.
5 Ways to Enhance Your Brain and Learning Skills

Human brain is more complex and sophisticated than modern technologies, it’s not like a computer memory chips where you can upgrade it within seconds, it takes time and effort to improve and enhance your brain and ultimately your memory. The ancient Romans, like the Greeks before them, attributed prime importance to memory skills; people were greatly impressed by the memorization feats displayed by trained orators, and were quick to see its value in the political theater of the times. They believed that memorization was a fundamental component of rhetoric – without memorizing the structure of a speech, how could an orator make an impassioned plea or convincing argument? Back in the 19th century, memory was seen not so much as a mysterious and spiritual phenomenon but as an empty vessel that could be filled by mechanical learning and repetition. But the 20th century had seen a shift in the study of memory, instead of looking for ways to improve our memories, scientific advances have taken us toward a better understanding of how memories are formed and stored in the brain.
Worldwide, neuroscientists, psychologist and others interested in human potential have conducted tremendous research on the subject. India and Eastern traditional wisdom from the ages have contributed invaluable insights as well as skills and techniques to greatly enhance brain functioning, these are some of the techniques that many people are not aware of.
TV watching:
Television watching apparently inhibits the development and use of active mental skills, due to its essentially passive nature. According to several studies, after spending about 30 minutes or more staring into a television screen at typical programming material, a viewer’s brain is in condition qualitatively similar to hypnosis. The body becomes more or less inert, with markedly diminished kinetic processes. Moreover, respiration and heart rate may decline somewhat.
Workouts Pump Up Your Mental Fitness:
What’s good for your body is good for your brain, and that includes regular exercise. Exercise boosts the flow of oxygenated blood to your brain. With more oxygen traveling to your brain, you think more clearly and creatively. Many people who exercise regularly are less likely to experience slow downs in reaction time and are better able to keep their mental skills sharp. Exercise also enhances the synthesis of neurotransmitters, which are required for the rapid transmission of messages thought the body.
Read:
Try to read a challenging or engrossing novel, such as some thing by Charles Dickens or another one of the classics, because the greater the reading challenge the better your brain is simulated.
Memorize Stuff:
Try to memorize different things everyday or a every week, for example, a poem, versus from your holy book, or quote. Commit to your self to memorize anything, and after you are finished, start something new. While memorizing the new thing, try to recall the old martial that you already memorized. Memorization stimulates your neural circuits, boosts blood flow to your brain, and keeps neurotransmitters active.
Meditation:
One of the best ways to boost your brain power is to meditate. Daily life activities such as work, school family lead to stress sometimes, stress and tension will diminish the power of your brain. So, one way to mange your stress is to practice mediation, which is a process through which you shift your consciousness from your self to a state of thoughtlessness or “no mind”. Medication helps the practitioner forget his self through a variety of techniques and keep his mind blank or free of thoughts. The moment the mind takes itself away from the self, it derives supreme joy and happiness.
