5 Ways To Make The Most Of Your Weekend

I think everyone would agree with me when I say that  weekends come and go really quick. Most of us “including me” say that  last week was a long week and I want just to chill in the house and do nothing ” I want to relax”. So, based on my observations and some experience, I came up with a variety of ways to make the most of your weekend. These ways hopefully will make you feel that the weekend is longer, energize you, and make you ready for the following week, especially Monday.

Rule # 1 – Wake Up Early: Don’t waste most of your mornings in bed, your body needs 8-9 hours only, so don’t sleep more than that. Having more time would allow you to do more things and enjoy your weekend more.

Rule # 2 – Think Positive: Lets admit it, most of us hate Monday’s right? We feel its a long, boring, and lots to do without having the mood or energy to do it. These feelings usually withdraw us from doing things on the weekend. But in order to make the most of your weekend you have to change your perception of Monday. Think optimistic about it, don’t make it your worst day of the week. Think of it as your productive and happy and special day.

Rule # 3 – Enjoy a Unique Meal With Your Family: Try to find a unique or new food recipe you have never tried before and cook it yourself. Sometime we just get bored of the same food over and over again, so some change would be nice. Youtube is one place where you can learn fascinating food preparation techniques. Since I love BBQing, I subscribed to a channel on Youtube called “BBQ Pit Boys“.  Sometimes I spend hours watching his videos, he actually shows you how to BBQ anything from step one til the end. Oh people, you have to watch some of the videos, I am sure you would BBQ the next day.

Rule # 4 – Socializing: Got a Video Game or A Movie? It will be nice if you invite some friends for a movie or video game. Socializing with people you like, is great way to enhance your weekend. Also,  a study that was conducted last year found that people who engaged in social interaction displayed higher levels of cognitive performance than the  people who don’t. Socializing helps to exercise people’s minds and boost their brain power.

Rule # 5 – Relax: Find sometime during the weekend to relax.  The best way I find really useful and effective is Yoga. Its kind of mediation technique, and  honestly its awesome. Beside its incredible health benefits, Yoga is great way to relax your mind and body. Try to practice it at least an hour  everyday  before you go to bed or early in the morning. If you don’t like Yoga, then there are many other relaxing methods you can use. Sometimes I play a list of songs I enjoy, and lay down on the couch of few hours.
