Panasonic Unveils its 3D TV – Cheaper than Samsung’s

I think 3-D TVs are going to be a big hit when they go on sale, especially when Sky Sports and Aljazeera Sports announced broadcasting the FIFA World Cup 2010 in 3D. Plus the experience of watching 3-D movies is phenomenal.

Panasonic introduced its first 3-D TV Today Wednesday March 10 in New York. The 50-inch plasma set, one pair of glasses and a 3-D Blu-ray player is set to 2,900 U.S Dollars. If you need more 3-D glasses, then you have to pay another 150$.

Watching 3-D movies at home is reality now, Panasonic starting selling the TV today in New York. On the other hand, Panasonic competitor Samsung Electronics Co, announced Yesterday that their 3-D Tv is going on sale next week at 3,000$ retail price.

Samsung’s TV includes, 46-inch set, two pairs of glasses, a 3-D Blu-ray player and a 3-D copy of “Monsters vs. Aliens.” If you want the 55 inch 3-d TV then you have to pay 300$ extra.

Other giant electronic companies such as LG and Sony are going to start selling their 3-D TV this summer.

A Chinese company produced the world’s first facial recognition door lock. The company claims that this new device is easy, affordable, and very convenient.

The device can store and recognize about 500 faces, and can unlock the door with a fraction of a second. So, employees in a company can throw away their keys or badges and use the face recognition device instead.

The device not only can unlock the door, but also record what time employees come in and out and report to the manager instantly. It cost around 450$ only.
