A Fir Tree Growing Inside A Patient’s Lung


A Russian patient was so relieved when the doctors informed him that he doesn’t have cancer in his lung. But the news shocked him when he learned that a fir tree is growing inside his lung.

The patient Artyom Sidorkin, 28,  complained about chest pain and had been coughing up blood. The doctors in the in the beginning strongly believed that it’s a cancer. But when the surgeons opened his chest to check out the tumor, they found a 5.cm fir tree growing.

“We were 100 per cent sure,’ said surgeon Vladimir Kamashev from Izhevsk in the Urals. ‘We did X-rays and found what looked exactly like a tumor. I had seen hundreds before, so we decided on surgery.” DailyMail.com

Doctors believe that the patient somehow inhaled a seed, which later sprouted into a small fir tree inside his lung.
