They were located on the border between Brazil and Peru. It is also believe that there are over 100 lost tribes around the world, most of them are located deep in the Amazon. This image was released on may 30, 2008 by the Brazilian government’s National Indian Foundation (FUNAI), showing healthy members of the tribe aiming their bows and arrows on the aircraft that carries the photographer.
“We have been watching this isolated indigenous community for at least 20 years. The idea in revealing the photos was to raise the alarm over the risk threatening them,” he said in a telephone interview from western Acre state, where the indigenous group is located.
The Peruvian authorities said that they don’t care now where they came from or which ethnic group they belong to, they care about how can the government protect them. “All I care about is protecting them, keeping them in their isolation.”
