Nasa’s Satellite STEREO Takes The First 3-D Images Of The Sun


A pair of Nasa’s satellites called STEREO ( Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) has taken the first 3-D picutres of the sun. According to Nasa’s officials ” this will improve our understanding of solar physics and improve space weather forecasting”. 

NASA researcher Michael Kaiser says in the news release, “The improvement with STEREO’s 3-D view is like going from a regular X-ray to a 3-D CAT scan in the medical field.” In order to see the differenct between the 2-D and the 3-D images you need a 3-D glasses.
