The Large Hadron Collider Is Back Again to Discover to the God Particle

The “God Particle or Higgs Boson” the main goal of the Large Hadron Collider in Europe and the Fermilab in Illinois. Last year the Large Hadron Collider broke down and the team researchers decided to shut it down temporarily, but apparently this was not the only reason why it was shut down, they wanted also to reduce the energy demand during the winter in Europe.

What is the Large Hadron Collider?
It’s a huge machine of instrument built in Europe near Geneva, where it spans the border between Switzerland and France about 100 m underground. This gigantic machine is particle accelerator used by physicists to study the smallest known particles – the fundamental building blocks of all things.

The machine works by accelerating two beams called “Hadron” either protons or lead ions, they will travel in opposite direction and they will gain energy in every lap they travel inside the circular accelerator.

There are some theories that scientists want prove by this collision:

  • Recreating the Big Bang “the Birth or our universe”
  • Understand the early stages of the universe.
  • Find the hidden dimension/s in space.
  • Get a better understanding about the dark matter and dark energy.

According to the Dialytelegraph, the machine will restart this summer and the first beams of particles will be fired around the LHC’s 17-mile ring in September and the first collisions will follow about a month later, Dr Evans told the Cheltenham Science Festival.
