Discovery is set to liftoff at 7:43 p.m. EDT on the STS-119 mission to the International Space Station

NASA officials announced yesterday that they are preparing for launch this Sunday at 7:43p.m, after it was postponed on Wednesday.

The shuttle’s launch was postponed because NASA engineers discovered gaseous hydrogen leak in the venting system outside the external fuel tank.

According to NASA’s press release, the team was able to repair the leak on Friday, and the shuttle is ready to lunch on schedule.

The mission of the launch this time is to deliver to the space station’s the fourth and final set of solar array wings, and to replace a failed unit for a system that converts urine to potable water.
